About

The Blog:
I made this blog originally to blog about trips, with pictures and stuff. But I only ever wrote one entry and never felt like writing more. It seemed a chore. So I decided to switch to something I probably should enjoy. Writing about movies I see.

I'm going to keep the "About" section I wrote earlier, to demonstrate how I can sometimes bend logic to make a point I want.

I realised that blogging about a trip or a hike or a place is a different matter compared to a normal blog. It's more fun if you provide pictures and write lesser text. Since I keep experimenting with the layout of the other blog, it generally is not readable if I always add pictures. The layout there is always getting alternately messy and clean. So this blog for travels & trips. It hopefully should be reader friendly, the posts with more pictures and I'll attempt to keep the text less wordy.

The Name:
My other blog is titled "Meandering Stream". Being the semi-geek I am (some might want me to remove the semi tag), I wanted this blog to have a name that "fit the theme" of the name of the first one. Wikipedia has a great article on Meander. It explains an oxbow or an oxbow lake as a lake or water body formed due to the twisty path of the stream/river. The analogy seems perfect to be picked up - this blog is a record of a trip I took, a place I visited; and the oxbow lake is the record of the path the river once took, a sort of foot-print.

I rest my case.
